Description
Pain occurs when the forearm muscles become tight and pulls on the attachment at the elbow joint. Common conditions associated with epicondylitis are known as Tennis Elbow (affecting the lateral epicondyle), and Golfer's Elbow (affecting the medial epicondyle). Activity causes additional pull on the epicondyles and continues the pain cycle. Relief is provided by placing a compressive barrier on the inflammed tendon, effectively taking the pressure off the epicondyle, preventing further injury and allowing efficient healing.
